Our projects are diverse, creative, interesting and meet identified community needs. It is our aim that they continue to evolve and become self-sustaining.

Food For Thought


Work For The Soul’s Food For Thought Food Rescue Service is committed to relieving poverty by providing nutritious fresh food to those in need. 

Through its partnering arrangement with Foodbank Victoria, Work For The Soul’s Food Rescue Distribution Service is committed to relieving poverty by providing nutritious fresh food to those in need.

Food has become available for various reasons. Food processors, growers and manufacturers have goods that may be labelled incorrectly, have damaged packing or don’t meet exact supplier specifications.



To cover the cost of this service a $3 contribution is required at the time of pick up.

Old Jam Jar Cafe



We would like to inform you that The Honorable Kym Le Cerf, Mayor of Darebin City will officially open our new Social Enterprise Training Cafe "The Old Jam Jar"on Wednesday 31st October at 10.30 at our site 2 / 73 Gower Street Preston VIC 3072.

The Old Jam Jar Cafe is a Work For The Soul Social Enterprise helping the most vulnerable and in need with supported pathways to employment. Our holistic programs aim to provide improved mental health and well-being, vocational skills, and links to other support service providers
